How to connect

IXP Manager ↗

LocIX has an open peering policy. If you have a public ASN and routable resources (IPv4 / IPv6), you are welcome to join. First, choose a location and a datacenter where LocIX is present - then connect one of two ways.

Path A

Cross-connect

If you are physically present in a facility where LocIX runs.

    Ask for cross-connect pricing to LocIX in your datacenter.

    Request a LOA from us so the DC can patch you through.
  3. 3
    Order the cross-connect - its cost is your responsibility.
Path B

Via a partner

Reach LocIX remotely through one of our connectivity partners.

    Pick a partner from our list and review their offer.
  2. 2
    Get connected to the partner's transport.
  3. 3
    Send us the partner + MAC assigned to your LocIX interface; we handle the rest.

Before you apply

  • A registered public ASN and your own routable IPv4 / IPv6 resources.
  • A router that speaks BGP and can peer with our route servers.
  • Agreement with our peering policy - only IPv4, IPv6 and ARP on the peering LAN.
