// Network reference

Technical

Peering policy and route-server reference for every LocIX fabric.

01

Peering policy

The following guidelines are obligatory for the safety of our peering platform. Violations lead to a port shut-off, which ultimately ends your presence on the peering LAN.

Allowed protocols

Only IPv4, IPv6 and ARP are permitted on the peering LAN.

Blocked protocols

No Proxy ARP, OSPF, DHCP, STP/RSTP/VSTP, CDP or ZeroTier of any kind.

MAC filtering

MAC addresses are filtered per port. One MAC per assigned interface.

No re-announcement

Routes learnt over the peering network must not be re-announced via BGP.

No tunnels

Connecting via any tunnel, VPN or de-fragmented MTU is strictly prohibited.

Resellers

To be listed as a reseller you must meet certain conditions. See the reseller policy and get in touch.
